What do you state is exceptional and/or hard about the Los Angeles SEO market?
“The most challenging part of the LA SEO industry is how diversified it is and how much competition there is in virtually all industries. We are one of the largest markets in the U.S. and the greater LA area is enormous. This makes local LA campaigns more challenging but also more fun.”
How does your agency stick out at a crowded marketplace including Los Angeles?
“It’s easy to stand out in LA. We are a boutique agency and we work with a select few brands that we believe in. Most agencies will take anyone – but we only take on the companies we want to partner with to make sure our name is synonymous with their success.”
Can you talk about a success story in a local SEO campaign based around the Los Angeles region?
“We’ve gotten a lot of outstanding results for local clients, but we do not usually disclose specific clients. We do offer references from our happy clients to any prospective brands who want to explore a partnership with us.”
What is your best advice you ever received in business? )
“I’ve received a lot of great business advice, so it’s hard to pick the ‘best,’ but one of our core principles is to stay dynamic and pivot quickly. This helps us succeed in our campaigns for our brand partners. We analyze performance data in real time and make adjustments on the fly to take advantage of opportunities as they present themselves.”
What do you believe is the main quality which makes an agency really excellent?
“Our most significant quality is the thing that divides us from the remainder of the SEO companies — our mindset about being a true spouse, not a seller of services. We purchase in to every campaign and love working for our spouses’ ultimate victory. Many agencies are staffed with individuals who don‘t really care — our staff is spent in campaign and that’s exactly what divides us”
Any forecasts for the future of SEO?
“Most likely, the landscape of search results will change in a variety of ways. Google continues to tinker with its search results presentation. Other search engines are growing and some platforms have eclipsed Google (Amazon for shopping, YouTube for video). SEO will become much more about brand marketing, which makes it more exciting for agencies like AMG.”
What is the response when you hear “SEO is dying”? )
“SEO isn’t dying, it’s simply evolving. All of Google’s updates in the last 24 months have been about improving search results with artificial intelligence (AI). It isn’t perfect, which means it takes a true expert can identify opportunities and what works for better rankings.”
What do you believe is the most significant contributor to keeping customers contented?
“The most important thing that keeps clients happy is still the ability to show results. Whatever that means for your campaign, it’s important to share what differences you’ve made for your clients long and short term.”
