Additionally, our e-book writing paid off, achieving more than 1,000 downloads since its release, providing the company 1,000 new leads.”

What is your best advice you ever received in business?

“The best business advice I have received is to never stop producing. From catchy copywriting, eye-grabbing website layout and also to more abstract sockets such as drawing, photography and audio, there is always something to be made.

“For instance I moonlight as an amateur illustrator, selling prints online platforms and carrying on commission-based function as time permits. In addition, I serve on the board of supervisors for a local Minneapolis-established non-profit, Cheap Laughs for Charity. These added innovative outlets let me examine various subject matter on a completely new level. When I return into my own daily job of constructing sites, I’m always surprised by the crossover which happens between mediums–it is something which really gets the brain working in full potential.”

What do you believe is the main quality which makes an SEO agency really excellent?

 “Commitment to results. This industry seems to be flooded with unqualified individuals and listless agencies, more concerned with their bottom line than your success. It’s easy to make promises, especially with a practice like SEO that’s hard for some business owners to fully understand, but actually increasing conversion rates, moving products and making connections with a customer takes time, experience—and most importantly skill.”

Any forecasts for the future of SEO?

“The practice of search optimization will continue to be watered down, thanks to marketing efforts by DIY website companies like SquareSpace and Wix. So, when a business owner who has utilized one of those platforms to make their website finally realizes that they aren’t showing up in search results and that SEO isn’t as simple as adding a few meta descriptions here and there, true search professionals will continue to be there offering up their expertise.”

What is the response when you hear “SEO is dying”? )

“SEO is not dying, but it is unquestionably transformed into something which’s very different than if the clinic first began. New site platforms such as SquareSpace and Wix are distilling the clinic, leading novice webmasters to feel that SEO is not a forethought, however a part of a thorough web design. While that the democratization of site development is very good for particular use cases, these programs do not offer the comprehensive infrastructure to create a site truly successful with regard to search functionality.
